Finally a stage with almost cold weather from start to finish :-)
I had company at the start by two local runners who I had met at the
concert yesterday evening - a concert with an Australian band, the Little
River Band - which gave a good performance with a coupe of thousands of
people gathered at the riverside area.
I guess neither of us was bothered by the rain; it helped to keep the heat
down, though it became quite a thunderstorm later with up to 3 flashes in
the sky simultaneously.
A short stage though and with excellent help by Russ Stevens from the
Trempleauteau business club who crewed from start to finish and even got me
a room at the Brookston Inn in La Crosse which proved to be an excellent
and
friendly place to stay :-)
