World Run I / ReportsGoto: 2005-09-04 2005-09-06 USA 2005-09-05:Distance today: 26.0 km (Accumulated: 24910.0 km) Country: USA 2005.09.05. 26km, 2:31:15h. Excl. food, water, road-finding, toilet etc. stops Total 24.869km Start: 08:44am. Finish: 11:58am. Time GMT - 6 hours +19c, almost clear and medium wind at start. 25c and same at finish. A slower paced stage today as I made sure to slow down a bit after the enjoyable run with Mark Godales running group yesterday - there is still about 1200km left so it keeps being a game of conserving the energy ! Also the hills are definitely beginning to dominate the landscape now. There is yet a couple of hundred kilometres till the Appalachians Mountains themselves but it seems that I have reached the foothills now. If I am up for as enjoyable a time as when I ran across the Rocky Mountains about 3000km ago in good company with the Dutch runner Peter Rietveld then I sure look forward to it. My crew for today?s stage was again Mr. Will Huff from Mensa. It was his last stage as crew as we are now getting a bit far from his home in Canton. He had done a great job of crewing :-) THANKS!!
