A good rest it was and although the last stage was somehow long the start was okay and the weather again great. Very slowly the flattened landscape started to get rolling and the lake beside us gave us a superb view. The small towns were a pleasure to run through as it gave something to see on the way. One of the towns offered the opportunity for me to down a half a litre of coffee since I could not wake up and the legs were protesting. After 35 km things loosened up and we motored ahead to hit again a 50 km day. We were met by Helmut who took us in for the night, and what a place he has!!! Very nice house with many flowers in the garden and they proved to be excellent company. The ?simple food" appeared one of the best we have been eaten over the last period and I had a bit of a taste of the local beer. That made 110km in two days and we are nice on schedule - Peters 2. Day in the "guest writer chair"... : |
