Another difficult day where the main problem was to find roads where it
was allowed to run. The 101 turned into a "Freeway", where only cars are
allowed, and with about 10km until there was a bit of parallel road to run
on.
Even where it is allowed to run, it is often an "adrenaline experience" as
there usually is little or none rough shoulder/tarmac at the sides of the
road. Fortunately the drivers are mainly polite and give room, but the
stress of not being safe in the traffic is becoming a factor.
The positive thing of the day was the Indian host at the motel I found at
the finish in Gaberville. The whole family runs the business of this small
motel and with a smile he offered: "for you 35$ is ok!" :-)
I have paid more for a campground for the tent over here.. And it was a
pleasure to get washed after yesterdays hard stage; not to mention getting
some hot food!
