Last day w. L.A. Crew !

As you have probably noticed, Jurgen Ankenbrand has been out here on the
roads doing his second "stint" of crewing since I left L.A. Which at
least for my part has been some humorous days, as Jurgen seldom lets an
opportunity for a funny remark go unnoticed :-)

But as my run continues, thus the distance to L.A. builds up; so its now
time for Jurgen to head homewards before he get too used to the life on
the road.. ;-)

- He will tomorrow have a drive of approx. 1000km back to Huntington
Beach, which itself speak of his effort to help in this run!!
Support like this remind me of for example Peter Grays crewing across the
Nullabor Desert in Australia. He promised to help 7 days but stayed to
crew for 4 weeks through tuff conditions only matched by what I
experienced through my run cross Siberia (though in many ways different of
course).

Actually I miss Australia almost on a daily basis as I during the 3 1/2
months of running across it came to appreciate the relaxed Australian way
of life, their positive attitude and always friendly interest in my run !
:-)

As it hopefully appear from the reports, I have also had friendly help
here in America already. But, naturally, there is a different lifestyle
and another distance between people which at times means that I experience
more suspect than interest (which is fair enough; in a busy American life
a runner alone on the roadside slowly making distance through a "nation of
cars" must seem strange at best.. ;-)
