World Run I / ReportsGoto: 2005-02-21 2005-02-23 USA 2005-02-22: 21Distance today: 49.0 km (Accumulated: 18123.0 km) Country: USA 2005.02.22 49km, 5:03:50h. Excl. food, water, road-finding, toilet etc. stops. Total 18.082km. (Crew: Jurgen Ankenbrand and Ivory, entire stage). Start: 10:47am. Finish: 17:25pm. Time GMT - 8 hours +16c, rain and medium wind at start. 15c, overcast and same wind at finish. One of the most rainy stages in the run; up there with the European winter rain stages at the start of the world run and the few drizzling rain days in Eastern Siberia last year. As you can see from the web pictures I ran a few kilometres after the finish point, but didn?t find a good spot further on before it got too dark to run on the highway, so we decided to use Graviota as finish point. So a few km will be re-run tomorrow, but still more important to stay safe in the heavy highway traffic. |
