- Last day w. my desert crew!

As the desert is all long gone by now its time for Peter Gray to go home
where a 100km race is waiting in a few days :-)

As always its been a pleasure to have a crew for a while; the running
gets easier (not having to push the 35kg in the baby jogger while
running..).

I owe Peter HUGE THANKS for his GREAT CREWING EFFORT through the Nullabor
desert!!!!

- Indeed I have been very lucky with all my crews through Australia; what
pleasant and helpful people :-)!

2005-01-25:
Distance today: 30.0 km (Accumulated: 17315.0 km)
Country: Australia

2005.01.25.A. - sign on Highway 94: "CG 50km" >.

(Crew: P. Gray all stage)

30km, 2:57:03h. Excl. food, water, road-finding, toilet etc. stops.
Total 17.244km.

Start: 05:56am. WAT.
Finish: 09:28am.
Time GMT + 10:30 hours (NB: South Australian Time!)

+21c, half overcast & light wind at start.
34c and same at finish.

- Another morning stage, tempo fairly ok; another 30km waiting in the
evening.
Not much more to say about that.

Still struggling with the motivation albeit the legs are injury free and
ok :-)

At present the run is obviously in a phase where the memory of family,
friends and "everyday routine" back home is taking its toll.

Further I have made the BIG mistake of beginning to look at what is left
of the run, now that roughly 2/3 is done.
- 9000km is still waiting. A classical ultra running mistake to begin too
soon to consider the distance left.
Hits like a knockout in a heavy weight match.. ;-)
