" As promised earlier we would bring information about the int.
Novosibirsk 1/2 marathon who treated us so helpfully & professionally !!
- the Event is part of the "Siberian Run Festival" together with several
other distances and celebrations.
It is held annually at 2. saturday of September and will be 11/09 in 2004.
The course leads through city square; is broad and w. excellent tarmac
surfase (!), which is traffic closed and police guarded during the race.
The race has the 2 last years hosted the Russian 1/2 marathon
Championships.
Prize money include a car for first man & woman ! :-)
The records stands at 1:03:35 (men) and 1:09:58 (women).

40km, 3:53:34 h (J.). Excl. food, water, toilet etc. stop.
Total 7763km.(A. and J.).
Start 11:21 am (all).
Finish 15:39pm (J.), 16:26 (A.), 19:00 (K.).
Time: GMT + 7 hours.
At start +26c, no wind and strong sun.
Finish 31c, shifting winds and thunder.
Again a beautiful stage with rising hills and long darkgreen walleys.
Alexander ran well, but for my part the return of fever made this easy
stage a bit difficult - and after finish some small muscle cramps. Nothing
serious; but I must tend to it and get a much needed refill of salt &
minerals.
- So it have to be a small web report tonight ! :-)
Kazukas shinsplint problem is gone now, but instead she has the last 5
days had pain on the inside of her left knee. This means that she must
continue to walk; which makes normal stages very long and difficult for
her.
We hope that the 3 day akkupuncture she has had will help !!
