Kalachinsk(city square at USSR monument, ul. Kalinina).
40km., 3:58:25h.(all), excl. water, toilet etc. stops.
Start 9:29am(all), finish 14:02pm(all).
+29C., clear sky, no wind; humid.
Same at finish.
Police/administration escort and runner company (Evgenii) all stage.
Again a hot day where the bright Siberian sun made us and the black tarmac
sweat.
After the finish we were honoured by an invitation from Valeri Sacharov
who had run with us the last about 20km. of the stage.
Valeri has a marathon pb. of 2:17h. which makes him the farstest runner we
have had the joy of running with so far.
He and his wife showed us videos from participations in world
championships on half marathon - but what surprised most was that he ran
Copenhagen Marathon in 1994(2. place 2:26h.).
That year I(J.) was spectator, so I must have seen him hurry towards the
finish-line :-)
Little did I know that we should meet 10 years later in Siberia!
