Warm -up! To honour yesterdays good host, Alexey and the sportscomittee,
we started at the city administration house and ran 3 km. to our official
start place.
- Something that the local TV liked :-)
Our finish was near the the town Golismanova where we were invited to stay
as the guests of the town.
As it happens there is tomorrow and the next day a regional sportsfestival
in Golismanova
The main sport of the competitions is the games of "Gorotki".
It is a traditional russian sport wich has seen new popularity the last 10
years.
The aim of the game is to hit small figures of wood by throwing a heavy
tree log in two rounds - 8 meter target and 12 meter target.
The target figure are carefully constructed by small wood cubes by the
team - which the same team then try to destroy! (If you consider the
russian history I think you will understand the ironic symbolics!)
Before start tomorrow we are invited to attend the opening ceremony.
It shall be interesting :-)
