Route Report: Race in Kazan
We were invited to a friendly race in celebration of the 30. year
anniversery of the Kazan Runners Club.
The race was hold on a 1 mile track in the middle of the old city.
Katzuka and our driver , Racenka, ran a even-paced while I gave the legs a
"workthrough" with the first 10km. in ca. 36:11min. and the last 6km. in
jog pace (I believe its usefull to give the muscles a change of speed
every once in a
while during multiday events like ours).
Alexander rested and received a much needed massage.
The next days will be crusial; and the heavy snow followed by -7C to -9C
doesn´t make things easier.
Tomorrow 50 snow-km´s awaits.
