- A wake-up in a rain soaked sleeping bag, the prospect of putting on the
still wet running clothes and shoes for today?s stage: what a sweet
morning moment in the tent... ;-) !
Well, unfortunately that was not all that was in store:
Early into the run I could sense that something was not fine with the left
foot. The last 1 1/2 month the ankle has been sore, but nothing seriously.
Yet this morning it was different, the Achilles was unusually tight and
there was considerable pain under the heel bone.
During the run the pain at impact grew major with some dizziness last hour.
Here at 22pm. the bottom of the heel is still equally agonized. So I'll be
curious about tomorrow (painkillers etc. is not an option as I of course
haven?t used that in my 20 y. of competition running and that isn?t
changing now :-)
