Bodega Bay.

- The scene of "The Birds" (1963) by Alfred Hictchcock, and the place
where my crew and photographer Jurgen Ankenbrand and I put up the tents
after an almost perfect-weather stage.

Not that we actually saw that many birds here or in the quiet farm valleys
I ran through, but just before sunset there were a couple of seals at the
beach, about 200-300meters from the tents :-)


This stretch of Highway 1 goes parallel with some of the main wine areas
of the u.s., for example Nappa Valley. But not being much of a wine
drinker that didn?t inspire me on today?s stage where I was tired during
the first 3 hours of the run ;-)
