- Strange guests...

Having a longer stretch until the next village/roadhouse I had to use the
tent for the next 3 nights.

It took off with an interesting start as my first choice of "outback
campground" was less than fortunate.. ;-)

Right as the darkness began to set under the high eucalyptus trees where
my tent was pitched a car stopped out on the highway. I could hear it turn
around and then head back about 20meters outside where I was.

- car doors slammed and I could see two torches lit.

Not a very good feeling as there were no parking area or other reason for
a car to stop here !

The two people began walking randomly among the trees and shrubbery, the
lights from the torches searching high and low.

I kept very silent in the tent as I made what preparations I could of a
possible difficult situation.

- The car left at 4am. !!

After an hour I figured out that they probably were insect & animal
hunter?s judging from what I could hear through the darkness.

- During the night scorpions, beetles and king-size spiders come out to
enjoy themselves. Not too comforting either.. ;-)
