+40c, almost clear sky and no wind at start.
28c, dark and heavy wind at finish.

- Running out of Norseman the weather continues to be a bit warm.

As it hopefully appears from the gps-pictures there was some interesting
scenery to go with the run :-)

- A couple of dried out salt lakes,
- The at times dense eucalyptus forests,
- Some still functioning gold and nickel mines,
- The dusty rail,
- And the tropical looking evening sky..

Good to keep the motivation up. At the present, looking at 9000 more km to
do, I am very very exhausted - mentally. Physically, though, the body
seems to be going on and on.. Quite interesting how it seems to be much
stronger than the mind :-)

End of the Nullabor!

Norseman marks the official end of the Nullabor stretch.

All in all I have to say that I have been very lucky with (relatively)
cold weather for the desert run AND fortunate to have Peter Gray and John
Paw and his family as excellent desert crew!!

Without their experience, help and advice reg. the conditions out here,
this part of the world run would have been extremely difficult to
accomplish.

- As it turned out it became an enjoyable part of the Australian run; and
far from as hard as I was warned :-)

For that I owe them my very big thanks for their time & helpfulness!!!

By the way we have mobile phone signal and gps/gprs here in N. so
hopefully the reports for the last week will be on the website soon,
together with the gps-camera pictures from the Norseman stage.
