- Nice hot stage ;-)

After the 40km run in the morning, the temperature during the 30km evening
session took its toll.. as you can see from the slower speed !

A positive thing was our accommodation at the Fraser Range Sheep Station &
Hotel :-)

So far the West Australian Roadhouses like the Balladonian has been a less
friendly experience (Nullabor, Border village & Madura very positive
exceptions) - probably due to the hard conditions they endure, or because
the world run must seem a strange thing out here !

Yet as mentioned the people at Fraser Range was a much welcome example of
the huge Australian helpfulness that I have experienced through almost
every single stage in Australia :-))

- You can visit the website of the still operating Sheep Station & its
Hotel at www.FraserRangeStation.com.au

If you happen to be in this part of Australia I think you will find it
well worth a visit :-)!

- 17 000km; in bones!

My desert crew, the notorious P. Gray, had a special surprise waiting for
me at finish: all across the roadside he had written: "World Run 17
000km", with the bones of dead kangaroos !!!

No joke!

I will try to email the picture so it should hopefully be on the website
soon :-)

.. Now there is a genuine desert-crew for ya ;-)

Only thing is that we are not totally sure if I passed 17 000km today or
yesterday!

- Out here I have since long more or less lost count of it, so we have to
check with the Team back in Denmark once we get to Norseman where there
will be internet and mobile phone contact.
