"90 mile road" As I head out for the days evening part of the running I am greeted by the "90 Mile Road" signs, announcing that I am entering Australia?s longest straight road. - 140km of straight forward. No curves, no bends, no trees no nothing.. except heaps of kangaroos. We were warned that the mercury would get up around the mid. 40c during daytime in the Nullabor - so far we have been v. lucky to have only one day like that; and most days about mid. 20c. Great weather for running and recovering :-) Still I try to keep the "30km in the morning + 30km in the evening" routine as the sun is quite sharp at midday.
