If you look at the 'stopwatch time' for the stage, you will see that there
is at last some decent pace (below 6min/km).
- Finally and after 1300km: we have Tarmac!!! This makes all the
difference :-) 'Cruising' relaxed along at 5 1/2 min/km here takes
considerably less effort than 'bulldozing' through gravel and sand at an
unimpressive 7 min/km -and being more dead than alive after the stages ;-)
