The stage today was dominated by the hilly - and in summer notoriously
beautifull - Valdai landscape with its many rolling hills and small
valleys.
Also a raughter historical place as it happens.
The central village dates back to 1495 and is both a popular religious-
and holyday resort.
Fortunately the second worldwar's destructions didn't reach this area, the
fighting beeing at nearest 25km. away.
